Frequently Asked Questions
Are portraits included with my session fee? No. Your session fee is just that…the session fee. It covers all the time involved with your portrait session. This includes a pre-session consultation (usually done over the phone), up to 2 hours of shooting time, post session processing, minor touchups (blemishes, stray hair, etc), the ordering session and the preparation of your order.
Can I bring a friend? Definitely! It will make your portrait session more fun for you. Your friend will help you relax in front of the camera and will know how to get the most relaxed expressions from you. Parents are invited, too, but if having Mom or Dad watch you makes it difficult for you to relax, I may ask them to step back a bit (or even suggest going for a cup of coffee!).
Do you have a studio? No. I enjoy the flexibility of shooting on-location. I have a number of favorite locations to suit every style and personality. Once we book your senior portrait session, you will receive information on the different locations.
How long does it take to see my images? A few days after your session, I will post a sneak peek on the blog. You’ll be able to share this with your friends and family. Your ordering session will be scheduled for 1-2 weeks after your session. Your portraits will then be ready 3-4 weeks after ordering.
Can I use my images for Facebook or MySpace? All images are protected under federal copyright laws (this means no scanning or downloading). Because I know you’ll want to share your images, I will email a low-resolution file of each image that you purchase. You can then use these files for Facebook, MySpace, etc.
